รูปปั้นสิงห์คู่ดินเผาเคลือบสีฟ้าขาวสั่งผลิตพิเศษจากเมืองจิ่งเต๋อเจิ้น ณ มณฑลเจียงซี ซึ่งเป็นเมืองโบราณที่มีชื่อเสียงในการผลิตเครื่องเคลอบดินเผามายาวนานตั้งแต่ราชวงศ์ฮั่น (CE 618-917)

สิงค์คู่ในความเชื่อของคนจีนเป็นทวารบาลแห่งอำนาจและความเจริญรุ่งเรือง สามารถสลายพลังปราณชี่พิฆาตต่างๆ เรียกโชคลาภ ช่วยให้มีฐานะและชื่อเสียง ป้องกันสิ่งแล้วร้ายที่จะเข้ามาสู่ภายในบ้าน ช่วยคุ้มครองให้ร่มเย็นเป็นสุข ปราศจากการรบกวนของภูตผีปีศาจ

Ceramic Guardian Lions from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China. Referred to as China’s “porcelain capital,” Jingdezhen has been known as a place for high quality porcelain production since the Tang Dynasty (CE 618-917).

In Chinese beliefs, the Lions are the guardians of power and prosperity. They can counter dark power, dispense good fortune, help gain status and fame. They help protect and prevent bad spirit from entering the house, bring peace and happiness to the place, drive away demons.
